About the Guru Dr. Ravindra Kumar
Dr. Ravindra Kumar achieved this feat in 1987 while he was teaching at the university of Zimbabwe. After his own awakening he started writing books on yoga, meditation and especially on “life after death”. He has authored 21 books to his end till now, some published in USA and some in India. His latest being “The Secrets of Inner Blast” which describes in detail the inner condition of the practitioner on his/her spiritual awakening. List of books is provided at the end. He joined the “Academy of spirituality and paranormal research” Connecticut, USA, where he presented 15 research papers over the years based on his own experiences. After his own awakening of Kundalini in 1987 he began to provide help or guidance to those who were ready and who approached him for activation of their own Kundalini. He has initiated successfully about a hundred people so far, especially from America and Europe.
For example Dr. Michael Anderson, a chiropractor from California left U.S. and settled in Bangalore to awaken his Kundalini to become one with God. He read the book “How to become one with God” by the author and phoned him down from Bangalore to seek his discipleship. After knowing his readiness for the purpose on a long telephone talk Dr. Kumar invited him for fifteen days to stay with him in Delhi. He got his Kundalini awakened on the 5 th day. He was dancing and singing with Happiness. He has recorded his experience in a diary with Dr. Kumar, which can be read in a visit or meeting with Dr. Kumar. This is his way of working.
As another example Ms. Lipika Dhar of Kolkata, India, aged about 22 years phoned him from Kolkata and sought his discipleship. Dr. Kumar was a little intrigued as she was a woman and very young for this kind of experience. But on phone talks she told him that she has been chanting mantras of her own for several years and some 3 to 4 hours every day. Then she told her inner experience with light, sound and other objects during meditation or dreams which showed she was ready for a spiritual jump. He asked her to spend 15 days at our ashram in Delhi and guided her for meditation. The fifth or sixth day he gave her a touch on the forehead and her Kundalini was awakened instantaneously. She laughed and danced and embraced him as a child. He blessed her by moving his palm on her head. She returned very happily and lived a detached happy life in daily routines. She became liberated while living. Her handwritten experience with full address and phone number exists here in the diary.
The awakening of kundalini leading to God realization through initiation by a Guru depends on three factors: Readiness of disciple, willingness of Guru and prevailing circumstances. In the two examples above all three conditions were satisfied, and so the awakening of kundalini was instantaneous. When the disciple is not prepared through previous preparations he will take time to get prepared which may take a few months or few years or even a few life times depending on personal factors.
